Available in bottles of 30, 50, or 100 ml of Lion’s Mane Mushroom Extract. Bottled in Miron violet glass. This glass only allows ultraviolet and infrared light to pass through, slowing down the degradation process of active compounds. Miron violet glass greatly increases shelf life. The bottle cap comes with a pipette for simple dosage.

The Mushrooms uses a three-way extraction method to create its Lion’s Mane Mushroom Extracts. This extraction method guarantees a potent and rich extract, in which all active compounds are preserved as well as possible.

Lion’s Mane or Bearded Tooth Mushroom offers an intellectual and mental boost. Lion’s Mane is a popular medicinal mushroom, well-known for its restorative and supportive functions for the brain and nervous system. This healing fungus contains active agents called hericenones and erinacines. These substances stimulate the growth of so-called Nerve Growth Factors (NGF) in the brain. These proteins are responsible for the growth, maintenance, and proliferation of neurons in the brain. As people grow older, the creation of these NGF slowly begins to stagnate, causing brain functions to gradually deteriorate. By boosting the growth of NGF, Lion’s Main helps to keep the brain young and vital. In addition, Lion’s Main has neurotrophic properties. This means Lion’s Mane stimulates the growth and differentiation of neurons – so important in the learning process when the brain is constantly developing. And what is more: recent research indicates that Lion’s Mane’s healing powers also aid in improving your mood and mental stability!

The health benefits of Lion’s Mane on the brain and mind are increasingly becoming supported by scientific evidence. Clinical research is currently ongoing, too. Scientists are looking for applications of Lion’s Mane in treating, slowing down, and even preventing Alzheimer’s disease and other illnesses relating to dementia. Lion’s Mane could also provide help in the treatment of conditions like Parkinson’s Disease and multiple sclerosis.

Take half a pipette (0.5 ml) three times a day, preferably before meals. You can either empty the pipette under your tongue and swallow the extract, or dissolve the extract in a glass of water and drink it.

It generally takes about two weeks before the effects of a quality extract will be noticeable in the body if taken regularly. Some people, however, report feeling effects kicking in after a few minutes.

One pipette of Lion’s Mane Extract by The Mushrooms equals three cups of strong Lion’s Mane tea.

This Lion’s Mane Mushroom Extract is best preserved in the fridge. The Mushrooms guarantees that the organic alcohol (20%) and Miron violet glass will help preserve the active compounds for at least three weeks after opening.

The parasitic fungus Lion’s Mane or Bearded Tooth Mushroom belongs to the Basidiomycota family and is scientifically known as Hericium Erinaceus. Erinaceus means “hedgehog” and refers to the characteristic long white spikes that form the fruiting body of Lion’s Mane. The French name for Lion’s Mane, “pom blanc” refers to these spikes as well – the mushroom resembles the pom-poms utilized by American cheerleaders in their dance routines.

Lion’s Mane preys on diseased or old deciduous trees for its parasitical way of life. It has a particular fondness for birch and oak. Lion’s Mane is prolific in deciduous forests from North America and Europe to Russia and Asia, but only China and Japan have a significant medical tradition involving the use of this healing mushroom. In traditional Chinese medicine, Lion’s Mane has been used for hundreds of years to improve memory and cure a variety of illnesses. Lion’s Mane is also a popular culinary treat, its taste resembling lobster or other seafood. For this reason, it serves as a popular substitute for meat and fish.
